Talks and Demonstrations
If you are involved in running a fly tying/ fishing club and would like a presentation with a slightly different focus then I may be able to help. My typical demo lasting about two hours consists of:-
Talk 1 – Natural Materials Preparation and Identification.
A demonstration of how to prepare your own fly tying materials from donations given to you by your friends who shoot. – demonstration of how to prepare a Partridge skin. Plus A rare and unusual fly tying materials quiz based on actual hands on identification of some of the classic materials (many rarely seen nowadays ).This is designed to be informative and fun.

Talk 2 - Natural Materials the myths and legends explored.
A journey through the history of some of our favourite fly dressing materials, examining some of the folklore behind their origins and uses. What determines the quality of specific materials and why some are in such short supply.
Talk 3 - Fishing for Arctic Charr and Brown Trout in Iceland
A slide show and talk looking at the locations and methods of catching wild fish in wild places, based on personal experience.
Those attending will have a chance to have a good rummage through my mobile shop and to select some good materials for themselves
Typical fee £90.00 + travelling expenses at cost and includes £15.00 worth of materials for a prize in the quiz or your regular raffle.
